Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Collection Strategy Manager to join our team in Oak Brook, IL. As a key member of our collections team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of client invoicing claims, prioritizing tasks, and setting strategies to meet and exceed recovery targets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B collections or relationship management, with a proven track record of success in managing complex accounts and meeting financial goals. You will leverage your analytical and problem-solving skills to drive recovery efforts, while maintaining strong business relationships with domestic and international carriers.

This is a full-time hybrid position, requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. The base salary for this role is $65,000 - $83,000 per year, based on experience, with eligibility for bonus incentives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pipeline Management: Independently manage a portfolio of client invoicing claims, prioritizing tasks, and setting strategies to meet and exceed recovery targets.
  • Research & Relationship Building: Investigate carrier processes to develop efficient collection techniques and resolve claims quickly, maintaining strong business relationships.
  • Claims Resolution: Use critical thinking and assertive negotiation strategies to maximize claim recoveries and reduce outstanding balances.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Account Managers, Auditors, and leadership to address obstacles, escalate issues, and ensure timely settlements.
  • Reconciliation & Adjustments: Coordinate account adjustments, balance write-offs, credit memos, and settlements with internal teams to maintain account accuracy.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed, chronological records of communications; provide regular updates on collections activities; and forecast goal achievements.
  • Policy Adherence: Adhere to ConData's policies and procedures while safeguarding sensitive company and client data.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in high-volume B2B collections or relationship management roles.
  • Proven success managing complex accounts with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding financial goals and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; with the ability to present data clearly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in managing and analyzing large data sets, with advanced VLOOKUP skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Strong multitasking and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate cross functionally.
  • Knowledge of logistics contracts, charge types, and pricing across transportation modes a plus.
  • Experience with JIRA or similar service management tools preferred.
  • Knowledge of CRM such as Zoho or Salesforce is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
