About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist to join our team at the Grand Junction Regional Center. As a Clinical Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing all medications for individuals residing under the Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) license and all over-the-counter medications for individuals residing under the HCBS Waiver license.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the accuracy and ensures quality control of the of the individual MARs located in the electronic medical records program.
  • Utilizing the electronic records management program; tracks, manages, completes follow up, documents in electronic health record and reports on medication errors.
  • Determines the need for a physical and/or occupational therapy care plan by collaborating with physicians, therapists, team nurses, direct care staff or the individual.
  • Responsible for oversight of the psychiatric appointment orders and resulting medications changes.
  • Track informed consents are completed annually and will prepare informed consents for all psychotropic medications prescribed to individuals at GJRC.
Requirements
  • Current, valid licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Colorado Board of Nursing or any state participating in the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • Three (3) years of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position.
