A Day in the Life- Assist veterinarians with patient preparation, monitor patients post-op, and restrain animals during exams
- Gather stool, blood, and other samples for testing and help interpret results
- Administer medications accurately, following veterinarian instructions
- Communicate effectively with clients to obtain medical information and provide guidance on animal care
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years old at the time of hire
- Minimum 1 year of veterinary experience
- Strong understanding of veterinary terminology and medication
- Lifting up to 50 lbs and frequent standing, bending, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching
- Excellent organizational skills and communication abilities
Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year (dependent on experience)
