We are seeking a skilled Radiology Specialist to join our team for a travel assignment in Rockville, Maryland. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality imaging procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Job Requirements

  • Current professional license as required by the state\
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States\
  • Valid BLS through the American Heart Association\
  • Specialty-related certifications are preferred and may be required for specific travel positions\
  • RN positions require at least one year of recent experience in specialty and a like setting\
  • Ability to work 36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts\
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities\
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills\
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent patient care\
  • Meet the requirements for this position as outlined in the job description\
  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field\
  • Current ARRT registration\
  • Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs)\
  • High school diploma or equivalent\
  • Maintenance of current licensure and certification\
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality agreements\
  • Familiarity with radiology equipment and software\
  • Prior experience in a hospital setting\
  • Clearance for access to controlled substances\
  • Acquisition of necessary supplies and equipment\
  • Knowledge of radiation safety protocols\
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in tasks and documentation\
  • Efficient prioritization and time management skills\
  • Excellent organizational skills\
  • Adaptability to new technology and processes\
  • Good understanding of basic life support techniques\
  • Regular attendance and punctuality\
  • Awareness of applicable laws and regulations\
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and best practices\

  • Conducts routine quality control checks on equipment\
  • Performs x-ray imaging procedures and other exams as assigned\
  • Administers medications according to physician orders\
  • Operates equipment safely and efficiently\
  • Provides technical assistance and guidance to junior staff members\
  • Liaises with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and optimal patient outcomes\
  • Accommodates multiple exam schedules and flow adjustments\
  • Works effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver results\
  • Demonstrates self-awareness and accountability for actions\
  • Practices effective conflict resolution and negotiation techniques\
  • Maintains accurate records and reporting\
  • Achieves regulatory compliance and maintains accreditation standards\

  • The selected candidate will participate in orientation and training sessions prior to start date.\
  • Familiarity with CAP and MQSA regulations is highly desirable.\
  • This position requires a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.\
  • Additional requirements include being able to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull gurneys and equipment weighing up to 300 pounds.\
