The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth of pneumatic systems and components in the Northeast region. This includes developing new business opportunities, providing technical and sales support to our customer service and sales teams, and serving as a liaison to key vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business opportunities
- Develop and implement strategies to increase our pneumatic business, including new suppliers and services
- Collaborate with our marketing team to create marketing campaigns designed to generate leads for pneumatic systems and products
- Develop value propositions for our various products and services, to be utilized by our marketing and sales teams
- Prospect for new business opportunities and conduct follow-up on inquiries and leads
- Provide prompt and effective communication, including weekly reports, customer call reports, expense reports, sales forecasts, and market intelligence reports
Requirements:
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships at a high level with major customers
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with engineers to solve problems
- Value-added sales approach and excellent interpersonal, organizational, and follow-up skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple tasks to foster sales growth
- Previous knowledge and possession of good selling techniques and practices
Environment:
- Work remotely with occasional travel required
- 40-50% car travel required, with a valid driver's license and good driving record
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial distribution, business, or related field, with 5-10 years of experience in pneumatic system or component sales
