Technical Infrastructure Specialist for Space Exploration

As a key member of our IT team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions for SpaceX's growing infrastructure needs. With a focus on scalability and reliability, you will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT systems and infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Develop and champion system validation processes for data center server hardware products, ensuring network connectivity, power delivery, and functional aspects are met.
- Design and maintain scalable VMware environments to support virtualization needs, driving efficiency and performance.
- Lead project management of hardware development programs from inception to final product shipment, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Deploy and troubleshoot data center infrastructure and production operational issues, resolving complex problems with ease.
- Develop purpose-built servers with a focus on resilient design and high availability, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
- Identify and implement fixes and optimize solutions in the VMware environment, supporting critical applications and improving overall performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand requirements, cost-optimize solutions, and cultivate product knowledge, driving innovation and growth.
- Drive the hardware procurement process from initial concept to deployment coordination and operational support, ensuring seamless integration.
- Generate and review validation plans, oversee execution, and test reports across multiple disciplines, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, or other technical field of study and 3+ years of engineering experience in an enterprise environment; or 5+ years of engineering experience in an enterprise environment in lieu of a degree.
- 1+ years of professional experience working with enterprise class server infrastructure.
- 1+ years of professional experience managing virtualized server environments.
- Experience with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) and tools to monitor, measure, manage, and/or control data center utilization.
- Certifications related to IT infrastructure.
- Experience working with multiple hardware vendor architectures.
- Support of CI/CD continuous integration/continuous development pipelines.
- Experience with full lifecycle management of large-scale VMware environments.
- Experience supporting container infrastructure using Kubernetes.
- Board level design and validation experience.
