Role Overview

At Apple, we're pushing the boundaries of innovation and technology. As a CPU Post-Silicon Performance Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of a chip design effort, working closely with software and system teams to identify and optimize critical workloads for CPU performance and power.

Key Responsibilities

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop representative benchmarks for CPU critical workloads
* Capture key workloads from silicon for CPU performance evaluation
* Identify hardware and software performance bottlenecks
* Work closely with the Architecture, Micro-Architecture, and RTL teams to develop solutions

Requirements

* Minimum BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience
* Experience with CPU architecture and micro-architecture concepts
* Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Perl
* Comfortable with C and C++
* Knowledge and experience with common performance benchmarks and workloads
* Knowledge of OS internals and compiler technology is a plus
