Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Rady Children's Hospital - San Diego. As a key member of our respiratory therapy team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our pediatric patients in the ICU and NICU settings.

Responsibilities:

* Provide respiratory care to pediatric patients in the ICU and NICU settings, including ventilation, oxygen therapy, and suctioning.
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
* Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status and develop plans to improve their respiratory function.
* Work closely with the nursing staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.

Requirements:

* Current California RCP License
* RRT national credential required; RRT-NPS preferred
* 2 years of recent pediatric ICU experience from a children's hospital
* Experience with trachs and vents, suctioning and oxygen
* BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and NRP (AHA) certifications

Work Schedule:

* 3x12 Nights
* Weekend shifts per contract: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period
* RTO Standard: 6 days max. All RTO required up front, no exceptions
* Must be available to work 2 out of 3 holidays

Additional Information:

* Valid photo ID is required. Must have front and back copies. Traveler must present on their first day.
