Respiratory Care Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Baptist Memorial Health Care. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position working days in our Pulmonary Physiology Department at BMH-Desoto Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients to determine their respiratory needs
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care to meet those needs
- Administer medications as prescribed and provide education to patients and families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes
- Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
Requirements:
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 1 year of hospital experience preferred
