Desktop Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at Vector Consulting, Inc. This is a 6+ months renewable contract role based in Richmond, VA.
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
About the Role:
The successful candidate will have extensive experience supporting Windows desktop users in an enterprise environment. Responsibilities will include issuing new workstations to employees, coordinating issuance during orientations, internal refreshes, and troubleshooting peripheral devices.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on delivering excellent support
- Experience working with Windows 11, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and MS O365
- Ability to utilize troubleshooting tools and administer desktops, laptops, and tablets
- Excellent research and investigative skills
- Knowledge of Active Directory, cmd line tools, remote support tools, and basic networking
- Experience with help request tracking and reporting tools
- Basic understanding and knowledge of software packaging and deployment using Ivanti End Point Manager
Requirements:
- 3 years of Customer service experience with a great attitude
- 3 years of Experience supporting a Windows-based enterprise including Windows 11, Office 365, Teams, and OneDrive
- 3 years of Hands-on experience in ticketing/tracking tools related to IT Support
- 3 years of Ability to perform root cause analysis and create documentation
- 3 years of Experience assisting end-users with technical issues
