Project Manager for Advanced Industries

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our Advanced Facilities Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing moderately complex projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of the company's safety culture and create awareness through individual actions and mentoring others.
  • Investigate safety incidents and retrain staff as needed.
  • Manage the JE Dunn prestart checklist form.
  • Support the preconstruction team, including quantity takeoff, trade coordination, and scope of work development.
  • Lead plan and implementation of buyout schedule, verify pricing and scope, and manage issuance of subcontracts.
  • Manage the submittal schedule setup, coordinate priorities with the team, and review and approve all shop drawings and samples prior to submittal.
  • Coordinate with Logistics to obtain pricing on materials and equipment, and confer with risk management to ensure approval and/or bonding requirements for subcontractors.
  • Coordinate the various stakeholders of the project, including subcontractors, owners, field, design teams, vendors, and disseminate change requests to subcontractors for pricing and schedule input.
  • Prepare, submit, and obtain owner/architect approval for change requests, lead various meetings, and complete monthly subcontractor and owner pay application process.
  • Prepare project schedule with the Project Superintendent, gather input from project team, and utilize Lean principles as appropriate.
  • Identify potential schedule impacts, including scope, weather, manpower, and changes, and facilitate mitigation plans for these impacts.
  • Provide written documentation for decisions affecting various aspects of the project, including budget, schedule, legal, quality, and/or safety.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis to project team(s) to communicate overall project status and profitability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of construction management experience.
  • Experience working on semiconductor construction projects preferred.

Working Environment:

  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • May require periods of travel and/or relocation.
  • Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.
  • May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold).
