Job Title: Maintenance Technician, Multifamily

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician provides support and is accountable for delivering on our commitments to our residents. This includes quality move-ins, residential satisfaction, expedited service, and personal attention to the resident.

The Maintenance Technician responds to our residents' service needs and is instrumental in helping deliver superior customer service to our residents.



Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepares make ready apartments, which may include painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping duties, and any necessary duties to provide our residents with that quality move in experience.
  2. Responds to resident requests in a timely manner and with a professional attitude.
  3. Maintains grounds, pools/ hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities to keep clean, operational, and safe for our residents.
  4. On call scheduling may be required to respond to after hour emergencies.
  5. Reports any maintenance concerns on vacant units, models, and common areas, to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  6. Performs maintenance as scheduled by the Maintenance supervisor.
  7. Knowledgeable of state, local, and federal fair housing laws.
  8. Attends and participates in training programs as required by Cushman and Wakefield
  9. Performs all duties as assigned, in a timely manner.
  10. Delivers superior customer service and represents the company in a professional manner at all times.
  11. Dresses per Cushman and Wakefield uniform and professional appearance standards.
  12. Maintains all safety procedures and safeguards all company tools and equipment.
  13. Achieves high productivity through reliable and punctual on-site attendance, and timely reports any tardiness and/or attendance issues to immediate supervisor.


Requirements:
  1. Valid Driver's license, EPA 60- Minimum Type II and CPO or local city required certificate
  2. Ability to read/ understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
  3. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs.
  4. Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.
  5. Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions
  6. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals
  7. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  8. Follow all safety procedures
  9. High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school
  10. 1+ years of related experience


Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Regularly required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to stand and walk for extended or continuous periods of time.

They must be able to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions.

The employee may also be regularly required to remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time; regularly operate office machinery.

The employee must be able to travel up to 10% of the time. Travel may vary in frequency and duration.

The employee must demonstrate the ability to exert up to 100 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 100 pounds frequently, and/or up to 100 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $24.00
