Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and Lead Exercise Classes: Design and lead daily exercise classes for residents, upgrading and modifying classes as needed to cater to diverse fitness levels.
  • Teach Specialized Programs: Teach arthritis and balance classes, promoting healthy aging and mobility among residents.
  • Evaluate Resident Fitness: Assess resident competency before participation in the Fitness & Wellness gym usage program and re-evaluate every six months to ensure safety and progress.
  • Encourage Socialization: Work with frail, isolated residents one-on-one to encourage class and gym participation, combating isolation and promoting socialization.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Providers: Facilitate rehab protocols in collaboration with physicians, PTs, and OTs, ensuring holistic care for residents.
  • Pursue Continuing Education: Stay current on best practices and research related to healthy aging through ongoing professional development.
  • Develop Resident-Centric Programs: Collaborate with campus staff to design programs that meet the unique needs and interests of our residents.
  • Evaluate Program Effectiveness: Participate in program evaluation to ensure the highest quality services for our residents.

About You:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional with a passion for promoting healthy aging and community engagement. To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Degree in Exercise Physiology or Related Field: A degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or a related field is required.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to listen, establish trust, and remain non-judgmental when working with older adults.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Salesforce is essential.
  • Reliability and Flexibility: Sufficient transportation to travel between locations and adapt to changing circumstances.

Benefits and Compensation:

As an employee of 2Life Communities, you can expect a competitive salary of $$$54,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a rich benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, paid vacation, holidays, floating holidays, pet insurance, and more.
