Job Title: Receptionist

Compensation: $18/hour

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Location: Fully onsite

Position Summary:

This position provides general office support. The receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate staff, greeting visitors, performing housecleaning duties necessary to maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep, and/or cleaning the soda fountain machine. The receptionist will also act as a cashier for store items.

Responsibilities:
  • Welcome visitors by greeting them in person or on the phone, answering or referring to inquiries.
  • Accept deliveries.
  • Direct visitors and/or members to the appropriate staff.
  • Act as the store cashier when supplies are purchased at the front counter.
  • Maintain a safe and clean reception area.
  • Maintain a professional, courteous attitude.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as necessary.
Qualifications and Special Skills Required:
  • Reception experience.
  • Professionalism - Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Top-notch organizational skills.
  • Effective time management.
  • Physical organization - Keep the front desk area free from clutter, maintain appropriate filing/record-keeping, and manage own physical resources.
  • Mental organization - Concentration, focus, and memory.
  • Ability to assist other administrative staff with overflow work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and a willingness and ability to learn other programs as needed.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma.
