ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate and qualified Occupational Therapist to join our school-based team part-time in the Detroit, MI area. This role involves supporting students in developing essential skills to promote independence and enhance academic engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments to identify students' motor, sensory, and functional needs that impact academic engagement.
  • Develop and deliver individualized therapy plans focused on fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress and adapt learning environments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of sessions and comply with state regulations.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on students' goals and accommodations.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid Michigan OT license.
  • Experience with school-aged children in educational settings preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Knowledge of sensory integration and other therapeutic approaches relevant to school-based OT.
