Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Podiatry Clinic team at CHI Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare teams and enhancing patient experience.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general patient care following established clinic workflows.
  • Greet and prepare patients for the healthcare provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires, and documenting reason for visit.
  • Collect and prepare ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Prepare and provide ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments.
  • Ensure patient exam rooms are stocked, clean, and orderly.
  • Escalate non-routine issues, questions, and/or concerns timely and appropriately.
  • Ensure safety checklists and quality controls are completed as required and necessary action taken if indicated.
  • Perform other duties within scope of role as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of medical assisting program.
  • Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
