Salary and BenefitsThe estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000 depending on experience. Job DescriptionThe Occupational Therapist evaluates patients and helps them improve basic motor functions and reasoning abilities, but also compensates for permanent loss of function by teaching them to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments. May also assist patients in selecting appropriate adaptive equipment and assistive devices. This position must integrate company values into daily practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Performs patient assessment and establishes plan of care and treatment goals.
- Assesses the effectiveness of treatment and modifies treatment to achieve goals.
- Assesses educational and cultural needs of the patient, family, caregiver, or significant other and communicates accordingly to achieve maximum benefit of care.
- Prepares plans for discharge.
- Applies appropriate application of age specific standards, policies and procedures and guidelines in caring for patients.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Two years' direct patient occupational therapy care and treatment experience preferred.
- Experience in rehabilitation hospital setting preferred.
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.
- Basic Life Support/CPR card required.
This role requires standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods of time. You will also need acute hearing for accurate patient assessment and sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.
