Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our radiology department.
Key Responsibilities- Administer multi-frequency sound waves and other techniques for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes.
- Perform sonographic imaging procedures and acquire and analyze data needed for diagnosis.
- Independently prepare, administer, and document activities related to medications in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, or lawful institutional policy.
- Evaluate images for proper positioning and acceptable technical quality and verify archival storage and/or transfer of data.
- Collaborate with licensed practitioners in the performance of sonographic interventional procedures.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) as a sonographer or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification.
- Basic Life Support Certification and Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
