About You

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual who is passionate about serving people and making a positive impact in their community. As a Department Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff to deliver exceptional service and maintain a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff to ensure timely completion of tasks and high-quality results.
  • Lead staff training, quality control, and in-servicing to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and ensure the satisfactory and timely completion of project and program work.
  • Assess work quality and maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with building occupants, administrators, and HCSG staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed and report equipment or cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisor.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow instructions.
  • Utilize leadership skills to accomplish responsibilities without supervision.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Two years' experience in Environmental Services in a healthcare environment and personnel supervision desired.
  • Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
