Senior Sales Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to join our team at US Foods, Inc.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sales success and be able to build strong relationships with customers in the foodservice industry. They will be responsible for managing customer relationships, ensuring timely deliveries, and collecting accounts receivable.
This role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities while collaborating with internal teams to enhance customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation abilities, and the ability to work independently in a field environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster customer relationships in a team-based selling model.
- Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process.
- Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and client.
- Leverage other resources to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening.
- Develop new business by identifying prospective customers through market intelligence databases, business directories, existing clients, organizations, clubs, trade shows, and conferences.
- Share market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales information with customers as part of value-added services provided.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
- Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
- Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Competitive spirit and results-driven mentality.
- Problem-solving ability / Organization and negotiation skills.
- Team up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Office products – Experience using Customer relationship management tools preferred (i.e., Salesforce).
The base salary for this role is estimated to be between $50,000 and $80,000 depending on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.
In addition to the base salary, the role will also receive incentive compensation. Benefits for this role may include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.
