Production Grader/Sorter

This role is responsible for ensuring tasks are performed in a safe and efficient manner while complying with protocols and procedures to meet customer specifications. The position requires working on multiple projects simultaneously and collaborating with management to ensure efficiency and safety.

• Grade and sort products based on factors such as color, specifications, length, width, appearance, feel, smell, quality, and weight.
• Discard inferior or defective products and place acceptable products in containers for further processing.
• Maintain a satisfactory level of productivity.
• Ensure the facility's equipment and materials are kept in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Perform quality inspections of materials, grading properly, and ensuring that the delivery meets company and industry standards.
• Place and grade products in containers according to specifications.
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to produce and packages when necessary.
• Wear an employee badge ID inside the facility at all times.
• Participate in food safety activities.

• Assemble cardboard boxes.
• Follow the chain of command.
• Notify the supervisor before leaving a job post or area.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize work to meet assigned deadlines.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.
• Be available to work weekend shifts as needed.

• Strong communication skills and proficiency in math, English, reading, and writing.
• Professional demeanor and ability to assist others effectively.
• Self-motivated and well-organized, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain a positive attitude.

• Physical demands: Walking, sitting, standing, using hands and arms. Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 45 pounds. Close and distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust and focus.
• Working conditions: Ability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays. Ability to work with vibration, wide variety of noise, heat, cold, and moving parts. Must be able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
