Curing Oven Specialist

As a Curing Oven Operator at American Air Filter International, you will play a critical role in ensuring the production of high-quality products. Your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain the curing oven and related equipment to meet production specifications.

• Review daily production schedules to determine which orders need to be fulfilled.
• Direct and assist expander attendants, selector packers, and other team members to ensure efficient production.
• Operate the curing oven and related equipment to specification, ensuring quality products are produced.
• Perform preventative maintenance and make minor repairs on oven-related equipment.
• Verify the availability of proper materials and communicate with the Material Handler or Production Supervisor to ensure timely supply.
• Conduct changeovers to set up the production line based on the Production Schedule.
• Print labels for each Production Order and attach them to the appropriate cartons.
• Verify the quantity and quality of media ran and ensure proper labeling of cartons.
• Scan production orders and media production orders into SAP and move the entire order into the appropriate staging area.
• Attach the Media Production Order to the Production Orders and place the completed order into the appropriate filing system.
• Train new employees and temporaries on specific job instructions and ensure they understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Direct and assist the line workforce to clean the area as per 5S.
• Understand all positions within the production area to assist when there are absences or open positions.
• Record daily production on PDS boards and report scrap data on the daily report.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to read tape measure.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment such as pleater section, conveyor, board, stock, and glue section.
• Ability to write and keep records of production information and correspondence.
• Computer skills - Basic data entry.

• Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to schedule production needs with other responsibilities.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Mechanical ability to make adjustments and troubleshoot mechanical problems or areas of concern.
• Ability to learn new processes and procedures and be promoted to the next level.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
