Job Title: Automation Technician 3rd Shift

Comar is actively hiring for a full-time Automation Technician 3rd Shift position. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products by effectively operating equipment, setting up and maintaining production machine vision systems, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and programming issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate equipment as required to ensure quality and safety
  • Set up and maintain production machine vision systems, including Smart sensors, Code readers, and Proprietary systems
  • Troubleshoot and identify mechanical, electrical, and programming issues
  • Develop and update training for setup mechanics and other end users
  • Work with others and serve as a mentor
  • Complete Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or other trainings required to perform the growing demands of the position
  • Work a flexible schedule, including overtime, as needed based on production demands
Requirements:
  • Associate degree (A.A.) holder or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with 3 years related experience and/or training in robotics or vision systems
  • Solid background in Quality expectations
  • Perform/understand Validation requirements
  • Reliable self-starter with good attendance record
  • Working knowledge in robotics and/or vision systems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands on experience working with robotics and/or vision systems
  • Background in Microsoft Windows based operating systems, spreadsheet design, and/or photo editing
  • Working knowledge of Visual Basics, C++ and/or Java programming languages
  • Understanding of fundamental electronics
Physical Demands:
  • Stand for most of the work shift
  • Use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, crouch, bend, twist, and only occasionally sit
  • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
