As a Backend Software Engineer with TS/SCI clearance and polygraph, you'll create a processing platform using various configuration management technologies. Your experience in business intelligence, analytics, data science, and data products will be essential in developing scalable data platforms.

In this role, you'll

  • Design and develop a processing platform using various configuration management technologies.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
  • Troubleshoot complex problems and provide customer support for software systems and application issues.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Work alongside other engineers on the team to sustain and advance our organization's capabilities.

You might thrive in this role if you have:

  • A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience with monitoring technologies like ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
  • Experience with building APIs and services using REST, Hadoop, Map Reduce, Spark, etc.
  • Experience with build automation technologies like Maven, Jenkins, etc.
  • Experience with Linux or Windows operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with modern programming languages, including Java, JavaScript, Python, and non-relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience working with ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, Rabbit MQ, and NiFi.
  • DevOps experience building and deploying cloud infrastructure with technologies like Ansible, Cloud Formation, Puppet, etc.
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise with a solid knowledge base of geospatial tools, including ESRI, RemoteView, and QGIS.
  • Experience with Git for source control.
  • Demonstrated ability to determine the right tool or technology for the task at hand.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills.

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytic, critical thinking, and research skills.
  • Adept at managing project plans and resources to ensure successful project completion.

The ideal candidate will be based in the Northern Virginia/Washington DC area.
