Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cleaning Room Utility to join our team at M&H Valve Company in Anniston, AL. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for grinding, sanding, cleaning, or polishing objects or parts to correct defects or prepare surfaces for further finishes using power tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grind, sand, clean, or polish objects or parts to correct defects or prepare surfaces for further finishes using power tools.
  • Break excess gating and risers from castings as they pass by on the shaker pan.
  • Verify the quality of finished workpieces by inspecting them, comparing to templates, measuring their dimensions, or testing them in working machinery.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds for the duration of the shift.
  • Assist in other mold line duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
