Estimated Salary: $32-$55 per game
Job Description:
As a Youth Sports Official with Mountain Recreation, you will have the opportunity to officiate various sports events, maintain standards of play, and ensure games are played safely and fairly. You will also be responsible for interpreting and enforcing district and Eagle County rules and policies, resolving claims of rule infractions or complaints by participants, and assessing any necessary penalties.
Responsibilities:
- Officiate games and events, maintaining standards of play and ensuring games are played safely and fairly
- Interpret and enforce district and Eagle County rules and policies
- Resolve claims of rule infractions or complaints by participants and assess any necessary penalties
- Inspect sporting equipment and/or examine participants to ensure compliance with event and safety regulations
- Attend administrative requirements necessary for the successful staging of the game, including completing accident, statistical, and related reports as required
- Attend all necessary district trainings and official clinics related to the position
- Be aware of facility safety hazards and handle them as quickly and efficiently as possible, reporting safety hazards to supervisor if necessary
Requirements:
- Must be 14 years of age or older
- High School graduation, equivalency, or currently enrolled in high school
- One year experience with rules and regulations of specific sport required to do the job and safety guidelines related to assignment, or satisfactory combination of experience and training
- May require possession of or ability to obtain a valid First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days of hire
