Job Summary

We are seeking a licensed Clinical Therapist to join our team at Unicare Community Health Center.

Job Description:

The primary role of this position is to provide mental health services to families, couples, individuals, and children through solution-focused therapy strategies. The successful candidate will perform intake and needs assessments for patients and develop, implement, and assess therapeutic treatment programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize solution-focused therapy strategies to provide mental health services.
  • Perform intake and needs assessments for patients through testing, interviews, observations, and conversation sessions.
  • Develop, implement, and assess therapeutic treatment programs for each patient.
  • Document patient records accurately and thoroughly in accordance with facility and licensing standards.
  • Participate in clinical team meetings and engage with community organizations.
  • Provide direct behavioral health and medical social work services to Latino individuals, families, groups, and communities.
  • Provide crisis counseling as needed and outreach counseling to community settings such as schools and other assigned locations.
  • Provide specialized counseling groups or classes on topics within the scope of license and training.
  • Participate in weekly case review meetings and supply case files including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Requirements:

  • Licensed in California as an LMFT and up to two years of clinical experience post-licensure preferred.
  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, or behavioral science required.
  • Certification in one or more treatment modalities required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
