Job Description

This position requires knowledge of federal, state, and local permitting requirements associated with new project development and construction across various market sectors in the U.S. including oil and gas, electric, and renewables.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with project teams on tasks such as completion of field surveys, environmental permitting, and review of project reports and materials.
  • Daily interfacing with agencies for approvals, permit applications, and responses.
  • Apply technical and creative solutions to environmental permitting.
  • Advise clients and team members on strategies for obtaining permits and maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Manage work within budget and schedule expectations for each project.
  • Ensure company and site safety policies are maintained.
  • Travel may be required for project or client commitments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental science, planning, biology, ecology, or related field from an accredited program.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience, consulting preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulations and permitting requirements for wetlands, threatened species, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permits, stormwater control, and cultural resources.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to manage in a dynamic environment, meet deadlines, and work professionally with various audiences.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel outside normal working hours.
Salary and Benefits

$92,000 per year (estimated)

Full-time schedule with 20% travel time
