Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our Test Equipment Engineering team at Raytheon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating across all engineering teams to define, design, and document Test Environment capabilities and requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement subsystem models using Model Based System Engineering tools and methods.
  • Collaborate with other Engineering disciplines to develop and implement subsystem models.
  • Communicate test equipment needs and requirements to Test Equipment designers.
  • Interact with Technical SMEs to fully understand the subsystem, including identifying and resolving issues and supporting related subsystem trades or analysis.
  • Develop and maintain test requirements, test system design, and advanced engineering prototyping technology.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five (5) years' prior relevant experience OR an advanced degree and 3 years of experience.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering or other Engineering discipline such as but not limited to emphasis in test requirements development, test methodologies, test requirements documents, integration, verification, and/or validation for test.
  • S. government issued security clearance is required. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Knowledge of Model Based Engineering processes, techniques, and tools (Rhapsody and IBM Rational Model Manager and/or Cameo Systems Modeler/Enterprise Architect and Teamwork Cloud preferred, with understanding of Systems Modeling Language (SysML), and/or Unified Modeling Language (UML).
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering standard views such as Block Definition Diagrams, Context Diagrams, Use Case Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, and Activity Diagrams.
  • Knowledge of embedded test techniques, design for test, design margin analysis, and/or design for manufacturing.
  • Experience with Agile processes and techniques.
  • Experience with development, environmental, qualification, production, manufacturing operations testing.
  • Experience recognizing areas of improvement or customer needs and relaying them to senior staff as business development possibilities.
  • Experience working with customers, end users, hardware design teams, and software design teams.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
