JCS Military Support Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Military Family Life Therapist to provide confidential non-medical counseling services to military service members and their families. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in a Mental Health related field and be licensed at the independent practice level in the state of Mississippi (LCSW or LPC ONLY).
Key Responsibilities
Provide non-medical counseling, training, and health and wellness presentations to military service members and their families.
Consult with parents, personnel at child daycare centers and schools, and installation command regarding behavioral health issues affecting children and youth.
Work with youths and teachers in classroom settings to establish the needs of teachers and students, and provide group activities or individually in CDC's family childcare homes, chapel youth group, youth centers, and teen centers.
Conduct presentations for parents and teachers on subjects such as anger management, solving skills, and compassion fatigue.
Provide support to teachers, families, and students concerning deployment and reintegration, while addressing school behavior problems and resolving student conflict.
Requirements
Master's Degree from an accredited Graduate Program in a Mental Health related field.
MS Independent Counseling License; licensed at the independent practice level (LCSW or LPC).
Advanced knowledge of brief therapy and solution-focused child and youth counseling methods.
CYB counselors meet the MFLC CYB criteria for experience with children and youth and specialty in child and adolescent development/psychology.
Must be able to prove US Citizenship.
