Executive Pastry Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team at Minetta Tavern DC, part of the Balthazar Restaurant Group. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for creating exquisite desserts and pastries that exceed our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute a variety of plated desserts, pastries, cakes, and petit fours
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of French desserts and classic techniques
- Work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, maintaining the highest quality standards
- Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless service and exceptional guest experiences
Requirements:
- 2+ years of pastry experience in high-end restaurants or boutique pastry shops
- Passion for French desserts and classic techniques
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
