Front Desk Customer Service Representative

The Front Desk Customer Service Representative is a vital position at La Quinta Charleston - Riverview, where you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences. Your primary responsibility will be to provide attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.
Main Responsibilities:- Respond to guest inquiries regarding local amenities, services, and attractions.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and credit policies are followed.
- Stay up-to-date on all rates, packages, and special promotions.
- Maintain awareness of in-house groups and restricted dates.
- Process room reservations accurately and efficiently.
- Demonstrate knowledge of hospitality terminology and procedures.
- Participate in emergency response efforts as needed.
- Manage check-ins and checkouts with a friendly, efficient, and courteous demeanor.
- Foster effective communication using two-way radio etiquette.
- Maintain proficiency in the Front Desk computer system.
- Complete shift checklists promptly and accurately.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- College coursework in a related field can be beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and willingness to learn hotel-specific systems.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and friendly demeanor.
$35,000 - $45,000 per year, based on location and experience.
