Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse I at Lifespan Corporation, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. Your expertise will enable you to implement and evaluate nursing care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

About the Role:
This per diem position offers the opportunity to work on a shift schedule, providing care to patients throughout their lifespan. You will collaborate with the healthcare team, patient family, and community services to ensure seamless discharge planning and optimal patient outcomes. Additionally, you will participate in unit-based quality improvement and research activities, staying up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and advancements.

Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care, prioritizing individual needs and tailoring care plans accordingly
• Delegating, supervising, and participating in safe nursing care activities provided by ancillary personnel
• Evaluate effectiveness of patient care, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as necessary
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, patient family, and community services regarding patient care outcome/discharge planning
• Assess and provide appropriate teaching based on patient and family needs
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and research activities
• Utilize all available resources to provide quality, cost-effective patient care
• Meet and maintain clinical competencies measured by pre-determined credentialing standards, mandatory/safety education, and completion of Basic Life Support and ACLS/PALS as appropriate

Requirements:
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island by the Rhode Island Board of Nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing is required. A baccalaureate in nursing is preferred. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout the life span, considering aging processes, human development stages, and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.

Estimated Salary Range:
$65,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
