Job Overview

We are looking for a proficient and experienced Mechanic to become a vital part of our team. The successful candidate will be tasked with the upkeep, diagnosis, and repair of various construction machinery and vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This position plays a crucial role in facilitating our construction projects and adhering to timelines.

Compensation:

$55,000 - $75,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:
  • Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on all machinery and vehicles to guarantee they function at peak efficiency.
  • Issue Diagnosis: Detect mechanical issues through comprehensive inspections and the use of diagnostic tools.
  • Repair Work: Fix and replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as required.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders and safety records.
  • Safety Standards: Follow all safety regulations and ensure that all maintenance and repair tasks comply with industry safety standards.
  • Communication: Clearly communicate with supervisors, colleagues, and clients regarding equipment status and necessary repairs.
  • Team Support: Offer training and assistance to fellow team members on the proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Strong manual dexterity and effective use of hand tools and equipment for vehicle repairs.
  • Preferred: Associate's degree from a vocational program, technical school, or community college - ASE certification is a significant advantage.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license is required.
  • Strong work ethic and excellent communication abilities are essential.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic, ideally in the construction or heavy equipment sector.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics or a related field is preferred.

  • Proficient in utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical systems and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Physical Demands: Capability to lift heavy items, stand for extended periods, and work in diverse weather conditions.
