Music City Recon is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Paint Technician Associate to join our team in Nashville, TN. As an Automotive Paint Technician Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality paint finishes for our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team and gain valuable experience in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to dealerships across the Nashville Area to provide on-site cosmetic repair services.
  • Assist in inspecting vehicles to be painted for repair, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to achieve a flawless finish.
  • Prep and/or buff defects to ensure a smooth surface for painting.
  • Mix paint to specific colors using standard formulas or color charts, taking into account the unique requirements of each vehicle.
  • Painstakingly paint, sand, mask, blend, and/or polish the finish and retouch as needed, ensuring that every detail meets our high standards.
  • After a temporary probationary period, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a commission-based structure, allowing for upward mobility and increased earning potential.

Qualifications:

  • A valid driver's license and legal employment verification are essential for this role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality, ensuring that every aspect of the job is completed to the highest standard.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make informed decisions.
  • Able to follow complex instructions and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Knowledge of safety precautions and protocols, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to work with strong detergents and chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment as required.
  • Time spent working outside in various weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
  • Willingness to wear gloves and eye and ear protection, prioritizing safety above all else.
