Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Lilac Learning Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other professionals to provide high-quality services and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Student Services:
    • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify individual communication needs
    • Develop and implement student programs, including drafting IEP goals in consultation with other team members
    • Provide SLP services as indicated in assigned student IEPs
    • Collect and analyze data to assess student progress toward identified learning targets and IEP goals
  • Collaboration and Teamwork:
    • Collaborate with Special Education Teachers, Site Directors, BCBA, and Behavior Technicians on student objectives and documentation
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to support student progress and develop strategies for improvement
  • Facility and Equipment:
    • Utilize Lilac Learning Center technology to support student services and communication
    • May be required to travel to LLC locations, with occasional exposure to moderate and occasional loud noise, heat, cold, wet, and/or humid weather conditions

Requirements:

  • CCC-SLP certification
  • 2+ years of experience as an SLP, with a history of working with individuals with severe behavior
  • Ability to function as part of an interdisciplinary team, think and act autonomously, and define and solve practical problems
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and public relations skills

Working Environment:

Lilac Learning Center is committed to providing a safe and supportive work environment. This position requires physical activity and occasional physical management of students, with potential exposure to secretions, saliva, blood, urine, and feces.
