Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Maintenance Manager to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all building operations and work activities comply with relevant codes, regulations, and company directives related to safety and environmental regulations.
  2. Maintenance and Repair: Supervise and perform assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal functioning of our buildings and equipment.
  3. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance and repair activities, including time worked, materials used, and inspections conducted.
  4. Work Orders and Scheduling: Review and prioritize assigned work orders, estimating time and materials needed to complete each task, and schedule maintenance activities accordingly.
  5. Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

Associated Tasks:

  • Inspections and Troubleshooting: Conduct routine inspections of properties' interior and exterior conditions, identifying potential issues and developing solutions to prevent or mitigate problems.
  • Pneumatic Controls and Calibration: Troubleshoot and calibrate pneumatic controls and building automation systems to ensure they function correctly and efficiently.
  • Plumbing and Mechanical Repairs: Diagnose and repair plumbing and mechanical problems, replacing defective parts and components as needed.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, shops, and storage areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education: A minimum two-year college degree in a related field, such as facilities management, engineering, or construction.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years of experience managing building trades and stationary engineers, with a proven track record of success in facilities management.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of commercial building construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other trades; excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is approximately $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, paid time-off, and professional development opportunities.
