Job Overview

The University of Kansas Aerospace Engineering Department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced pilot to fly the department's Cessna 172 aircraft. As a Flight Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for piloting the aircraft, navigating, and preparing it for operation.

Responsibilities
  • Pilot and navigate the aircraft
  • Prepare the aircraft for operation, including pre-and post-flight inspections
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with a Commercial Pilot's license and significant flight experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 250 hours of total logged flight time, with a minimum of 20 hours in a single-engine aircraft and 50 hours in a Cessna 172.

Salary and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary of $60/hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We also offer a flexible work schedule that varies dependent on project needs.
