Line Cook

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team at Kewadin Casinos. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food products in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring high-quality dishes for our guests.

• Prepare and cook food products, including soups, sauces, hot entrees, pastas, and vegetables, in accordance with recipe standards and kitchen procedures.
• Assist in preparing and cooking for banquets, employee meals, and other special functions, including food products for the buffet and the upkeep of the buffet.
• Provide attentive, cheerful, courteous, and professional customer service to all customers, internal and external, striving to exceed their expectations.
• Maintain consistent and attractive product presentation through portion control, fresh and attractive garnishes, and strict adherence to recipe standards.
• Clean and restock workstations for the following shift, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Monitor temperatures and notify management of any issues, and maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation with equipment and workstations throughout the shift.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food and beverage preparation experience in a high-volume operation, with experience in quantity cooking preferred.
• Basic math skills required, and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Sanitation Certificate required within 6 months of hire, with training provided.

The Line Cook will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with constant exposure to noise and air quality, and frequent exposure to extreme heat and cold. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and to stand for long periods of time.
