Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Non-CDL Driver to join our team at Weld County School District RE5J. As a Non-CDL Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of students, staff, and others to and from school, residential neighborhoods, and field trips.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Drive routes that do not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Maintain a professional defensive driving attitude and follow all traffic laws and regulations
  • Perform daily pre and post-trip inspections of vehicles
  • Maintain proper student discipline and communicate effectively with parents and staff
  • Assist the Transportation Department with other duties as assigned


Requirements:




  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience driving students preferred
  • Criminal background check, valid Colorado Driver's License, and current first aid and CPR card
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Working Conditions:




  • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines
  • May be exposed to inclement weather conditions
  • May be required to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends
