Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Solar Electrician to join our team at QE Solar. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to our PV plant sites, ensuring seamless maintenance and troubleshooting services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair solar site systems, identifying potential issues to prevent future performance impacts.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures, performing regular preventative maintenance on solar and electrical equipment.
  • Qualify equipment and systems for use or replacement, including warranty matters.
  • Install, remove, maintain, and direct the maintenance of solar, battery energy storage, and other related electrical equipment.
  • Ensure a safe work environment through adherence to company and client protocols, safety procedures, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Journeyman license required.
  • 1+ years of electrical experience with an electrical license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Inverter and/or BESS manufacturers' certifications.
  • Thermography certifications (Level 1).
  • IT/networking skills: familiarity with RS485, Modbus, tcp/ip, etc.
  • NABCEP PV Installer Certification.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Completion of NFPA 70E courses.
  • CPR/First Aid.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to move safely over uneven terrain.
  • Ability to sit or drive for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather.
