Intensive Care Unit Nurse Leader

We are seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse to join our team at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.
Responsibilities:
- Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
- Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration.
- Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
- Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. RequirementsTo be eligible for this role, you must have a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree in Nursing and be licensed as a Registered Nurse. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred. No experience is required, but a strong background in ICU nursing is preferred. You must also pass a background check and have the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
