Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate shift operations, including assigning and monitoring work, to ensure efficient and effective delivery of respiratory care services.
  • Provide technical and functional guidance to staff, including training and orientation, to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Monitor and report compliance with policies and procedures, including those related to patient safety and quality of care.
  • Oversee and evaluate the performance of staff, including providing feedback and coaching to improve performance.
  • Perform all duties of a Respiratory Therapist, including providing patient care and maintaining annual mandatory competencies.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire date.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner or Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation or the National Board for Respiratory Care required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience or 5 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
