About the Role

The HR Generalist II serves as a consultant and partner to senior leaders and management teams for an assigned project/location on Human Resources-related matters. This role aligns best HR practices to business strategies, collaborating with Shared Services departments to deliver solutions that address the needs of all assigned employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct new Employee Orientation, covering in-processing, benefits, timekeeping, ethics training, safety training, and admin functions.
  • Write and brief employees, interfacing with corporate-level staff for daily support.
  • Collect and analyze HR data, making recommendations to management.
  • Conduct Opening Enrollment Briefing for Salaried and SCA Employees, highlighting benefits costs and informing employees of the Open and Closed dates.
  • Post Requisitions in the Taleo System, coordinating with Corporate Human Resources.
  • Review Bi-Weekly payroll reports and Timesheets in multiple systems.
  • Assist the Program Manager in managing pay inquiries, ensuring employees are paid accurately and correctly.
  • Assist the Sr. Program Manager with administering Akima Policies and Procedures, ensuring employees adhere and abide by set guidelines.
  • Work with the Prime Contractor's Task Order Manager to issue Labor Charge Code and coordinate with Corporate to ensure accurate billing.
  • Submit CAC requests to approving officials and assist with end-of-year OSHA Logs.
  • Review and process leave request forms, assisting with OCONUS Benefits and allowances, and communicating with German Payroll company for German taxes and insurance issues.
  • Control spreadsheets for merit, updating weekly with salary changes, position changes, promotions, and demotions.
  • Conduct and process out-processing documents, communicating with Security officers for visitor requests, and Prime Contractor Task Order Managers for biweekly and monthly rosters.
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • BA degree.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist/Specialist.
  • Extensive knowledge of Deltek, True Time Timekeeping System, Projects Management, PLC/GLC Billing Codes, and financial data management.
  • Payroll experience and knowledge of Workforce Autotime Timekeeping System, Defense Information System for Security (DISS), and Synchronized Pre-deployment & Operational Tracker (SPOT).
  • Ability to Obtain SECRET clearance or higher.
  • Desired qualifications include former Military or Contractor experience.
