**Job Description:**

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Protection Engineer to join our team at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. As a key member of our data protection team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data protection systems to safeguard our institution's sensitive information.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science and experience in managing data encryption, access control, and data loss prevention. You will work closely with our technical staff to ensure the overall security posture of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data protection protocols to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and mitigate risks to our data assets.
  • Develop and maintain data backup and recovery processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data protection.
  • Familiarity with data encryption technologies and access control frameworks.

Estimated Salary: $140,000 - $200,000 per year
