Salary: The estimated salary for this position is around $1040 per week, which translates to approximately $26.00 per hour. Additionally, there are opportunities for bonus pay, including a certification bonus of up to $700 and quarterly bonuses of up to $500.
Job Description: As a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic at Ryder, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance and diagnostic repairs. You will work on heavy-duty vehicles and use your technical skills to identify and resolve mechanical and electronic problems.
Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as vocational or technical training in diesel engine repair. You should also have basic tools and demonstrated aptitude in mechanical repair, with a minimum of two years of experience in the field. A valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A is preferred, but not required.
