Responsibilities
  • The Quality Management (QM) Consultant: Clinical Documentation Advisor (CDA) Registered Nurse (RN) will demonstrate experience and creative approaches to improvement in quality-of-care outcomes.
  • The QM Consultant CDA will collect data, monitor staff compliance with relevant policies, directives, and standards, and provide reports detailing trends.
  • The QM Consultant CDA will provide direct staff support to all services in planning, designing, integrating, implementing, modifying, and administering a comprehensive quality management program area.
  • The QM Consultant CDA will participate in facility councils, committees, and workgroups.
  • The QM Consultant CDA RN will be accountable for using collaborative strategies with Physicians, Advanced Practice RNs, Physician Assistants, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure accurate clinical documentation.
Requirements

  • English Language Proficiency
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years Acute Care Nursing Experience.

Physical Requirements

The position requires heavy lifting (45 lbs and over), moderate lifting (15 - 44 lbs), light lifting (under 15 lbs), heavy carrying (45 lbs and over), moderate carrying (15 - 44 lbs), light carrying (under 15 lbs), pushing (up to 2 hours), reaching above shoulder, use of fingers, both hands required, walking (up to 5 hours), standing (up to 3 hours), repeated bending (up to 2 hours), ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously, depth perception, ability to distinguish basic colors, and hearing (aid permitted).

Education

Nursing education must be from a school of professional nursing accredited by one of the following accrediting organizations at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
