Medical Scribe Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Scribe to join our team at RemX in Houston, TX. As a Medical Scribe, you will play a crucial role in supporting the medical records process and providing high-quality documentation for our physicians.
Salary and BenefitsOur competitive salary range is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, paid weekly with direct deposit or ATM debit card options available. We also offer access to health benefits and a retirement plan, making this an attractive opportunity for those looking to advance their careers.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with medical records staff to support record identification, collection, organization, electronic formatting, and review processes.
- Reviewing medical records in electronic or paper format and preparing detailed case analyses in Microsoft Word for physician review.
- Uploading documentation into the MET portal for assigned physicians to review.
- Communicating with physicians and attorneys as needed, orally and via email, regarding clinical review of records.
- Assisting with managerial administrative work as needed.
- Prioritizing workload and coordinating record reviews according to case due dates.
- Maintaining complete confidentiality regarding all aspects of medical records information.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Completion of (or in the process of completing) an accredited program in nursing.
- Extensive medical terminology knowledge.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a confidential environment.
- Experience in performing research via the internet or other means for case assignments.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and set own priorities.
- Strong communication skills, including writing, speaking, listening, and reading.
- Ability to use independent judgment related to medical record review.
- Ability to type a minimum of 55 words per minute.
