Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Server to join our team at Aspen Skiing Company for the 2024-2025 Winter Season.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service in a fast-paced table service restaurant and/or bar/lounge environment. This includes:

  • Serving food and beverage items in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including setting tables, stocking condiments, and polishing glassware and silver.
  • Providing thorough knowledge of the menu and wine list to guests.
  • Displaying basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and handling food allergies.
  • Using sales techniques to suggest additional items and enhance the guest experience.
  • Operating the point-of-sale system and handling cash and credit transactions efficiently.
  • Expediting food from the kitchen to guests while maintaining cleanliness of serving equipment.
  • Maintaining positive communication with service and kitchen staff, escalating any issues or concerns to management as needed.
  • Carrying tools necessary to perform job duties, such as crumbers and corkscrews.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior guest service experience is preferred.
  • Prior work experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred.
  • Previous experience with computer programs such as Microsoft Office or POS systems is preferred.
  • TIPS Certification is preferred.
  • The ability to communicate and follow oral or written directions in English is required.
  • The ability to ski or ride at an intermediate level is required for employees of ski-in/ski-out restaurants in winter.
