Job Summary



We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Auditor II to join our team at La-Z-Boy Incorporated. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing operational audits and internal control testing throughout the organization.



Key Responsibilities




  • Assist in the execution of operational audits to determine adherence to guidelines and regulations and to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Participate in the drafting of the operational audit report that is distributed to management, external audit, and the board of directors.
  • Review process narratives, detailed procedure documents, and internal control matrices to ensure all business areas are completing annual reviews and the documentation covers all key controls.
  • Perform annual testing of our key internal controls for all business units.
  • Identify financial risks to the Company as they relate to the implementation of financial systems and participate in annual discussions with business leaders to identify and address fraud risks to the Company.
  • Perform year-end audit tasks under the guidance of our external auditors.


Requirements




  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 2-4 years of related experience or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Requirements




  • Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA, CIA, or CICA designation.


Working Environment



Office environment with no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands.
